New tech in payments lets your client pay and onboard in the same step.

Recently our Product and Development team launched a new plugin that reduces consumer time and friction when paying with the Pix. [see here]

Throughout the creation of this unique interface, we considered all steps of customer onboarding, data collection, UX and payout (or cashout). They were treated with equal importance in this construction, to deliver a solution that:

  • Drastically reduces friction for the consumer;
  • Offers three possibilities to pay with Pix;
  • Demands low-code integration through an SDK incorporated directly into the code;
  • Costs nothing for Trio clients, since pricing is embedded within our transactions costs;
  • Has Banking security level: zero fraud.

In the next paragraphs we seek to show how a simple feature brings zero risk of fraud - even in high-risk operations such as i-gaming and gambling, which constitute the majority of Trio technology customers. To better understand how it works in practice, you can follow the flows we developed below, which range from onboarding to cashout.

In just 4 steps, Pay with App is carried out without leaving the website, which reduces payment time by up to 70% and reduces cart abandonment. The novelty also significantly increases security by establishing a direct connection between banks (payer and recipient) through Open Finance via the Central Bank of Brazil.

Paying with an App is an evolution of Trio Checkout, a tool that allows you to implement receipt via Pix in a simple and end-to-end traceable way. By using this SDK plugged into your website's payment checkout, you will be able to offer your customers both Payment Initiation (Open Banking / Open Finance) and the standard Pix payment process.

It works like this:

1- When going to Payment, the consumer is directed to Trio's exclusive checkout screen; 2- If consumer chooses Open Finance, three more steps connect to the bank's app and complete the purchase, without leaving the seller's website. They would be: a) choose bank; b) accept payment (confirm the Open Finance Terms of Use); c) confirm on the bank app.

The customer onboarding flow is recommended when the seller wishes to convert the purchase, but is dealing with a new customer. It is the ideal option for e-commerce or betting websites that don't want to lose the "punch" of the ad by creating many obstacles - for example, asking for a telephone number or zip code to purchase a digital product, as happens when customer is purchasing with a Credit card.

This option will be available whenever you onboard an user, by first offering the payemnt checkout. This way, the customer can pay and only then complete the profiling process by entering data such as Full Address, ZIP Code, Date of Birth, Telephone number, etc.

It works like this:

1- Consumer enters tax number (CPF) and enters the top-up ammount (example when not linked to the product); 2- Consumer is directed to Trio's exclusive checkout screen with 3 options to complete the Pix; 3- If consumer chooses to Pay with App, three more steps connect to the bank's app and complete the purchase, without leaving the seller's website.

Now get ready, because this is huge.

The guest onboarding flow is recommended when you don't have any customer data but want to convert the purchase or bet while creating a basic profile for your customer. Counting on the Pix closed system's security and traceability, it is possible to cut many steps and still handle a 100% safe purchase.

This option will be available whenever seller wants to onboard an user through payment, but in this option, the customer is not instructed to enter their tax number, or CPF.

It works like this:

1- User chooses the amount to top-up in their new account, which will be created next, getting ready to pay for the product with Pix; 2- User is directed to Trio's exclusive checkout screen; 3- When payment is made, Trio gets payer's data (CPF), delivering it only to the client company; 4- If the consumer chooses to Pay with App, three more steps connect to the bank's app and complete the purchase, without leaving the seller's website.
